The Charleston AFB FamCamp provides a great atmosphere for family bonding or couples on the go. The campground offers 23 sites complete with water and electrical hook-ups. The sites are accessible to tents and/or RV campers.

We provide the following guidelines for your information, and hope your stay will be as enjoyable as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the Outdoor Recreation Center at (843) 963-1672.

Facts about FamCamp:

1. Checkout time is 12 pm (noon)
2. Renewals: Spaces are made available on a first-come, first-served basis.
3. Restrooms, shower and laundry facilities are located on site.
4. Dump Station: The dump station is located in front of the restrooms at the FamCamp location.
5. Campers are asked to be especially conscientious when using this facility.
6. Rates: $12 per night for RV/$10 per night for tents
7. Food and Beverage: Base restaurants include: Globemaster Grille at Wrenwoods Golf Course (843) 963-1840; Charleston Club's LowCountry Bar & Grille at (843) 963-3914; Starlifter Lanes Snack Bar at (843) 963-3316; and the Base Exchange offers a food court.
8. RV Storage: FamCamp parking is not available for overseas travelers to leave any type of vehicle or camper for storage. Personnel going overseas on a space available basis may contact us about availability in our RV Storage area. (Please remember that vehicles left unattended in the FamCamp area will be towed at the owners expense.)
9. Conduct Code: So that everyone has a safe and enjoyable stay at the Charleston AFB FamCamp, the following actions could result in immediate ejection from the camp:
   • Destroying, defacing, disturbing or removing any part of any building, sign, equipment or structure.
     Dumping any refuse or waste from any trailer or other vehicle except in the dump station provided for such use. Gray water must be routed onto the grass a minimum of 20 feet from the camping areas, never on pavement.
   • Acting in a disorderly manner or creating any noise which would result in annoyance to others. Quiet hours are observed from 11 pm until 7 am daily.
   • All animals must be kept crated, caged or on a leash not longer than 6 feet, or otherwise physically restrained at all times.
   • Littering in the camp area is not allowed. The FamCamp site will be kept clean and free of trash, debris and excess equipment and supplies.

If you arrive after the ORC is closed, please find an empty site and make yourself comfortable. You may check-in the following morning at the Outdoor Recreation Center, or contact our camp host in Campsite “1”.
