6th Annual Triathlon Registration is now being accepted to participate in annual Charleston AFB triathlon that will be held on base Saturday, Aug. 23. The course will include a 450 meter swim, 15.5 kilometer bike ride and 5 kilometer run. Age groups are: 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over. Awards will be presented to the top, overall male and female finishers and the top two finishers in each age group. Entry fee per participant is $15. Pre-registration deadline is Aug. 16. The registration fee from Aug. 17 to Aug. 22 is $20. Registration on race day will not be available. Commercial sponsors for this year’s event are Propel, Aquafina, Gatorade and Sabal Homes.
