CDC Curriculum

kidsOur curriculum is center-based, child-initiated, and teacher supported with a belief that children learn best by doing. Creative Curriculum and the Developmental Training Model allow staff to individualize developmentally appropriate practices for each child in the program.

Lesson plans are created based on observations and recordings of each child’s special interests and development progress. It is our belief that play provides the foundation for academic learning and is the preparation a child needs before they are ready to learn through their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive experiences.

The early childhood curriculum’s most important goal is to help children become more enthusiastic learners. We strive to make learning fun for the children while providing a warm and nurturing environment.

Many special events are planned through out the year. Annual events are Open House, Pajama Literacy Night, Family Fun Days, and Month of the Military Child Festival and Events. Preschool children visit many educational and cultural programs in the area to increase their knowledge and experiences.

Parents are encouraged to participate in any and all activities when ever possible.
